This week brings an intriguing twist for fans of the popular motoring show. While its original run on the streaming service has concluded, there is news of a comeback in a rather unexpected form.

The series may have stopped producing new episodes, yet it appears its legacy will be extended. A fresh highlights and recap installment has been announced to start later this week. This project, spread over four episodes debuting between now and 2026, kicks off on April 18 with an installment titled The Not Very Grand Tour: The Power and the Glory.

The upcoming show is set to pay tribute "to the period marked by the dominance of internal combustion engines". It will revisit the memorable moments when Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May explored Detroit and its iconic muscle cars, celebrating a time when American engineering ruled the roads.

Rather than offering a brand-new adventure, the program revisits a former expedition, with the hosts recounting behind-the-scenes details and sharing anecdotes about the filming process of that well-known journey.

Displayed below is the inaugural promotional trailer for this installment. In addition, the other three highlight episodes, though without confirmed premiere dates yet, have been given names listed as follows:

  • Title One
  • Title Two
  • Title Three
